is your answer to 1) above, based on experience with applications where the IAS/ATOS have requested Info from the claimants 'written down' health professional,

(the health profession whom the claimant wrote on the questionaire, eg GP, Physiotherapist? etc.

....where IAS/Atos have requested this but they have Failed to obtain it ?

..is your anwer to 1) based on applicants in these cases ? (with requested info being NOT obtained) ?

My comments are based on the feedback we have seen in the forum, whilst there may have been I am not aware of anybody who has had a PBR where there medical contacts have not been involved.

I can't really comment on whether information has been retrieved or not, based on DWP statistics, although these are nor recent, GPs are not very good at responding to the DWP especially when the request is unexpected. Those who have said they had a PBR have also closely managed their GPs to respond to any requests from assessors.
