Problems with GP

I can only say that my notes are so detailed, I could write a complete medical book from them. But the GP has to look at the notes to write the letter and that's what my GP fails to do for the DWP. In contrast, if I visit him, he knows me on a personal level and will write citing my OT reports as further evidence. But I cant be there when he completes the DWP medical form.

If I speak to the practice manager, she is forever moaning about the completion of DWP forms. Often stating we are a Doctors surgery, not a benefits centre. Despite the fact they get paid for it ( something I dare not say for fear of being outcast - lol ! )

I get so near to securing a DLA award, but my GP who gets me so close, kills my claim in seconds by conflicting with his own report. I'm given the help in one hand and its taken in the other. But my GP is primarily to help me medically, which his good at. That is worth more money then the DWP could ever offer me. So I always try to see the positive side of having a GP who wont work with the DWP.
