Form Heading

Benefits and Work understands that the online version of the PIP2 How your disability affects you’ claim form is scheduled to be made available to all new claimants from 6 December, if everything goes to plan.

The digital PIP2 claim form is currently being offered to around 500 claimants a day.

However, all DWP staff dealing with new PIP claims are currently being trained on how to explain the online claims process to claimants. The training is expected to be completed by the end of this week, with the form being offered to all new claimants from 6 December.

Benefits and Work understands that take-up will be optional. You can still choose to be sent a paper form instead. The DWP have estimated that around 1,000 people a day will opt to use the online form.

Members can download a guide to the online PIP2 form from the PIP resources page. However, we don’t know what changes might have been made to the form since we last saw it. So if anyone does take up the offer and can email us screenshots of each page before you complete it, that would be extremely helpful. All help will be on a strictly confidential basis and you can contact us for suggestions if you are not sure how to take screenshots or how to forward them by email.

I was given this method of applying for pip at the end September I found quite easy and convenient as it allows you download medical evidence at a later date. I have also have a saved copy and I used parts of it for my ESA Application.

Yes , it could be easier if you can then print it off and send it with your evidence documentation etc

My friend was told she would be unlikely to get PIP for end stage kidney failure, she also has an piety depression, problems with sight and vision. But she decided to try and claim feeling half hearted. Unfortunately using the online form didnt work, there was no way to save and return to question about medicines and illness, so she couldnt add to it . Neither could she save and return to the next question. She is totally fed up and anxious. She tried to phone for a paper document but after 45 minutes wait the person on the end of the phone tool her name , then put the phone down. My friend has given up.

If you fill the form online, how are you going to send in your medical evidence etc.

Will there be a function to allow this ?

Also i cannot imagine the online's form giving big combo boxes to accept all of your medical conditions and how your affect on a daily basic!

Possibly could be useful way?

Could be a good way if it's anything like say the PDF form like ESA then I would have it downloaded as it would be easier to fill in than writing it by hand, then type up all additional information with adding your NINI and name to each extra pages.
