Can you tell other claimants anything about travel and facilities for this PIP face-to-face assessment centre?

Please post in the comments section below if you can.

Things like:

  • Distance to nearest bus stop or rail station.
  • Nearest parking, any disabled parking.
  • Distance to walk if you’re dropped as close to the door as possible.
  • Wheelchair access.
  • Toilets, including disabled toilets.
  • Ground floor or first floor.
  • Lift available.
  • Anything else you think might be helpful.

Please don’t comment on the staff though – we won’t be able to publish your comments if you do.

This centre has no actual parking though people literally park on the pavement in front of it.
If you need wheelchair access you have to ask reception to put a ramp out for you and I believe there is an assessment room on the ground floor for wheelchair uses.
Other than that the assessment rooms are on the first floor which is through a narrow doorway to the left of the centre shop front and you have to go up steep narrow stairs.
It is approx 10 minutes walk from the train station poss longer if you have mobility issues.
I sent 2 separate complaints re 2 separate assessors to ATOS due to their attitude, manner and obvious lack of knowledge especially with MH issues
