Can you tell other claimants anything about travel and facilities for this PIP face-to-face assessment centre?

Please post in the comments section below if you can.

Things like:

  • Distance to nearest bus stop or rail station.
  • Nearest parking, any disabled parking.
  • Distance to walk if you’re dropped as close to the door as possible.
  • Wheelchair access.
  • Toilets, including disabled toilets.
  • Ground floor or first floor.
  • Lift available.
  • Anything else you think might be helpful.

Please don’t comment on the staff though – we won’t be able to publish your comments if you do.

This centre has no notice on the door to say it is the Synergy Centre. It is very confusing but it is at 1d Church Road. There is a yellow line outside for people with Blue badges to use. If you are lucky to get space here it is then just a few steps to the door. The nearest car park is a multi-story and quite a distance for those with mobility problems. I would say a quarter of a mile. If you come by train you will need a taxi from the station. I am not sure about buses. The ground floor has a small reception area with chairs to wait and a door to the one assessment room. I was told in advance that there are toilets on this floor but the only other door was marked 'Staff Only' so if there is a toilet that is where it is. If you are allowed to use it then it might be down stairs. I think you could get a wheel chair into the building but might then find problems if you have to use the toilet.
