Can you tell other claimants anything about travel and facilities for this PIP face-to-face assessment centre? Please post in the comments section below if you can.
Things like:
- Distance to nearest bus stop or rail station.
- Nearest parking, any disabled parking.
- Distance to walk if you’re dropped as close to the door as possible.
- Wheelchair access.
- Toilets, including disabled toilets.
- Ground floor or first floor.
- Lift available.
- Anything else you think might be helpful.

It's a very tight gap to get through the 1 open door in a wheelchair too.
Inside the staff are very helpful , efficient and friendly ,
I found my assessment much less stressful than anticipated though had to wait 35 mins while the assessor read my medical evidence , I was there 1 hour 20 mins in total
Bewildering.
As claimants can claim for travel, perhaps it's a good idea to maintain qualifying dated receipts, from taxis etc to assist in that process.
It's important that the claimant is not unduly tired as I see it. So this might make good sense to members.
All was pleasant and polite when I attended, my wife dropping me off outside and taking me in before parking up on the morrisons site.
We used an appropriate blue badge bay as usual.
About 15 miles and traffic ok about 40minutes by car from home.
There is a car park (Morrisons) facing ATOS on Cicerly Lane and from nearest parking spot about 100 meters from ATOS entrance.if disabled Ramp used. From covered parking about 200m. However not sure if car park belongs to Morrisons, if so it is a requirement that the parked car is that of a morrisons customer. Then going through morrisond and making a purchase put a distance at about 400meters. from car park to aatos.
Blackburn Railway Station is about 200m from Morrisons entrance so had this to 400 m Through Morrisons bus station was adjacent to Railway Stn. and Morrisons at time of assessment but there is some redevelopment in progress or due.
