Can you tell other claimants anything about travel and facilities for this PIP face-to-face assessment centre? Please post in the comments section below if you can. 

Things like:

  • Distance to nearest bus stop or rail station.
  • Nearest parking, any disabled parking.
  • Distance to walk if you’re dropped as close to the door as possible.
  • Wheelchair access.
  • Toilets, including disabled toilets.
  • Ground floor or first floor.
  • Lift available.
  • Anything else you think might be helpful.

Parking spaces in bay about 50 metres from the building for Blue Badge Holders.Space for 3 cars.Approx 40 to 50 metres from kerb to waiting room if dropped off outside.Metred parking on opposite side of road with 2 hour limit.No time limit for badge holders.This was full when I was there.We parked in bay for Badge holders.Assessm ent Centre is on ground floor on the right just past reception and is accessed by buzzer entry system.Toilets are on ground floor, Mens Ladies and disabled.Buildi ng is accessible by wheel chair and mobility scooter.I travelled from Bristol and arrived very early.I received a call from the centre to say appointment would be delayed an hour.We waited in Costa Coffee in Eastgate Centre.

Car parking is on the street and can be difficult. Assessment Centre is accessed via lift so check this is working on the day you go. Seating is unsuitable and low while you wait. Disabled loo is not on the same floor as the centre and there is only one.
