Neil has been a welfare rights adviser for 10 years. He has worked as a Citizen's Advice Bureau adviser and a deputy manager of a bureau. During 7 years at Bristol City Council Welfare Rights Unit (housing department) he undertook benefits training, casework, policy work and ran take-up campaigns. He currently works for a Law Centre providing tribunal representation and consultancy. Neil is an experienced trainer who has trained for Bristol City Council, Disability Alliance, CABx, Bristol University and Swindon Advocacy Project.

Barbara Oatley
Barbara has worked as an advisor in a Wiltshire based advice agency for the past 8 years, working mainly on welfare benefits and employment. Trained as a teacher, she has been writing and delivering training courses on welfare benefits for 4 years.

Steve Donnison
Steve has been a welfare rights worker for 10 years and has represented clients before appeal tribunals and social security commissioners. He is the author, along with Holiday Whitehead, of the free guides to claiming disability and incapacity benefits currently being downloaded from the internet at a rate of over 100,000 a year. He also writes about welfare benefits for a wide range of disability organisations, including: Disability Alliance; National Association for Colitis and Crohn's disease; Spinal Injuries Association; Multiple Sclerosis Society. He has been providing training in welfare benefits for the past four years.

Sandy Sorell
Sandy has been a welfare rights adviser for 13 years and currently manages the Legal Services Commission welfare benefits franchise for a busy west country advice agency. Sandy has also been a freelance trainer for over ten years and has provided courses for the National Council for One Parent Families, National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (now Citizens Advice) and a wide range of housing associations.

Holiday Whitehead
Holiday Whitehead is a qualified barrister and employment law specialist who has worked in the voluntary sector for over 11 years. Organisations Holiday has provided employment law training for include: the Directory of Social Change; the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations; the University of the West of England; Learning Curve and Progress South West. Holiday is also co-author of a wide range of guide to disability benefits.
