I thought that when in SG you did not have to attend any WF interviews? What is going on? Has the DWP changed the goal posts?

Many thanks. I phoned the Jobcentre today and asked them why I had received this letter as I am in the SG. The guy, who was very pleasant, said that letters were being sent sporatically and that the Work Focussed Interview was voluntary (although this was not explained in the letter, I wonder why!). I said that due to being a wheelchair user, having a full time carer and being on morphine, I felt that it was a waste of the advisors time as well as mine. He kindly said he would cancel the appointment but that I may receive another letter offering another appointment in the near future. However, in the meantime, if I felt able to benefit from an advisors help to ring back and make an appointment.
My concern with these letters is that once you go along to the appointment will assumptions be made that you are capable of work when you are not.
