Hi H,
You should expect to receive your renewal forms some 16-20 Weeks before your fixed term DLA award expires.
If you live in an Active PIP Postcode Area at that time you will be reviewed under PIP criteria.
If you are not in an Active PIP Postcode Area at that time, you will be reviewed under DLA criteria.
Here is the current : PIP Postcode Map.
Which includes updates of areas that are due to go "PIP Active" from 30/03/15.

Hi H,
As long as you abide by the the time constraints that they stipulate in returning forms etc, your DLA will continue to be paid until 4 weeks after they make the PIP decision.
This will be the case irrelevant of how long they take to make the PIP decision, and what the PIP decision is, positive or negative.

Hi H,
Yes, as long as you comply with all their requests and deadlines your DLA will not cease at its' expiry date !
