I have severe rheumatoid arthritis. Am claiming ESA , income related and in WRAG Group.
Our mother has mixed dementia and I don't wish her to go into a home, not until
her condition warrants it. She lives alone. I live 1 mile away. I want to share the care with
an Agency Carer. Any Advice ? Many Thanks. J.

Carers Credit is "paid" to carers who provide 20 hours or more of care to a person with a suitable Care award of DLA, AA or PIP (there are a couple of others). The carer does not receive any payment but will receive NI Credits that count towards a full State Pension.
Have a look at the following for more details

If you are in receipt of ESA then you are already receiving NI Credits so there is no extra value in you claiming the Carers Credit!
If you can provide 35 hours of Care and this does not conflict with your stated limitations in regard to your ESA claim then you may be able to claim Carers Allowance, IF your are eligible for Income Related ESA in part or in whole then you would receive the Carers Premium which will increase your weekly payments.
