The letter basically says unless you have a good excuse, eg. hospital, you can't cancel without loss of benefits. There are five mental health beds where we live and actually, they're not the best place for him and they're full. Does anyone know if I can cancel, legitimately without losing his ESA?
Thank you.

However, dh is very ill at the moment. His support worker is ringing daily and he has been threatening suicide on and off for a few days, hence the support worker.

Hi F,
You can certainly contact DWP ESA and inform them of your husband's current fragile state of health.
You could also ask what exactly the Interview is pertaining to, and whether your Husband's compliance in taking part in the the Interview is Mandatory or Voluntary !!
