ESA WRAG group appeal pending can I claim?

I have just sent off appeal papers regarding my ESA being stopped as I was found fit for work.
The DWP letter states that I can claim JSA. I am not fit for work and cannot claim JSA, and now I have no benefit at all. I am confused as to whether I can claim ESA at the reduced rate while awaiting the hearing?

Providing this is your first Fit for Work Decision, then you can claim the ESA Assessment rate once you your Appeal has been accepted by the Tribunal Service and the DWP have received notification of this.
You will need to provide Fit Notes covering you from the day after you were found Fit to enable payment.

I would do it now, waiting until the appeal is lodged will just delay you getting a payment.

Do acceptance and lodged have separate meanings ?
I sent off appeal papers last week .

I was referring (I hope) to a Fit Note, not making a request to the DWP for the Assessment rate.
