Hi
I just wanted to say thank you very much for the help your guides gave to me while I was preparing my appeal.
I suffer from Cervical Spondylosis, Depression, Adult Onset Asthma and Sleep Apnoea. Unfortunately the Cervical Spondylosis has been disabling, it is incurable, and degenerative.
Of course, I received 0 points at the Atos assessment and was declared fit for work on the 14th December 2011.
My appeal was heard on Monday 9/07/12 - I was awarded 15 points for sitting and reaching, and placed in the WRAG group.
I was given some very good advice by the CAB, who said that more people are successful if they attend an oral hearing. They also advised me to send my appeal, and any additional evidence in writing. This helped on the day, as it was very stressful, and I inevitably felt unwell. It also makes the tribunals life a bit easier, as they have already seen your argument, and will hopefully, only question you on the bits that they need clarification.
No doubt the whole circus will start again with the dreaded form in December, but I now have a much better idea of how to complete this.
I wish every the best of luck with their appeals.
Thank you again.
