Today marks the fortieth day since the DWP received my SAR. I propose to send a reminder next week unless the data has been received. I am not making a second SAR just reminding them of my original SAR. How long in calendar days is it reasonable to wait for a response to a reminder?

Hi MW,

As this is a reminder that they have failed to comply with a previous SAR, 14 days would be a reasonable amount of time to give them to respond, with the threat of a complaint to The ICO if they don't.

I would include copies of the original SAR, any letter that you sent with it, and a copy of the recorded delivery slip.

It is probable that they will state that your original SAR has been lost, so failure to send copies of your original SAR, etc will only give them more reason to take longer to comply.

Hello Bro58,

The original SAR was in letter format not the DWP form. Both letter and envelope were written in accordance with advice from the forum. I'll send a copy plus a scan of the PO receipt and the delivery notice of the following day.

I'll give it a few days to be sure they haven't dispatched things today...but I doubt it.
