Thank you , thank you , thank you.

Without this site i would not have known where to start to claim PIP on behalf of my son.

I feel we are one of the very lucky ones, having only taken 11 months to get an enhanced award for the living component, and basic for mobility.

However, this was after having scored zero across the board following a face to face assessment, which left us devastated.

It was only from following guidance from this site that we felt informed enough to challenge the decision, and requested a mandatory review.

If I can offer only one bit of advice, it is to get personal statements from anyone who has anything to do with you or your kin. Professionals carry more weight, but honestly, approach anyone who has any dealings to prove what you are saying is true..because basically you are a liar unless you can prove otherwise.

My heart goes out to all you still fighting for what is rightfully due to you or your kin. but don't give up. xxx

Hi C,

In case you are not aware, your real name is visible on the forum. If you wish to change your username, in order to maintain an element of anonymity, you can do so easily by following the advice in this FAQ.

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Thank you so much for sharing your good news with us. It really helps our members when we see the results that persistence can bring. Thanks also for your kind words about B+W :)
