Hi,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.

This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Yes, in normal circumstances, you have one month from the date of The DLA Decision Notice letter to request a Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR)

However, you can make a request for a "late" MR up to but not exceeding 13 months after the date of the adverse DLA Decision Notice letter if you can show "good cause" for it being "late".

Illness which stopped you requesting the MR within the month should be accepted as "good cause" for a "late MR request.

Have a read through the links under the heading DLA Appeals on : This Page.
