We cannot give detailed financial advice on the forum, you should get face to face advice before making any decision on this matter. Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

To be eligible to claim Pension Credit you need to have been on or before the day of a woman who has reached State Retirement Age. you can check this by entering your birthdate as a woman in the following pension calculator

www.gov.uk/calculate-state-pension

Pension Credit is an Income Related benefit so your ESA(CB), other income and any pensions will be deducted $ for £.

If one of you is receiving a PIP Daily Living award then then the other can claim Carers Allowance for them providing that they can provide the 35 hours of care needed and doing so would not conflict with their own stated limitations in regard to ESA, doing so would result in the Carers Addition being added to your PC payments.

If both of you are receiving PIP Daily Living (or DLA Care at the Medium or Higher rate) then you may be eligible for the couples rate of the Severe Disability Addition, but you will need to get advice on this as I am unsure about the differences/similarities to ESA are for this payment.
