ive been on holiday twice this year. All i did was ring dwp and informed them of the dates i would be travelling and that was that..

i also informed atos about the dates i would not be available for assessment and the silly so and sos gave me an asseessment date while i was off on holiday so obviously i did not attend assessment but dwp did not stop my money as i had already informed them that i was on holiday on the day of assessment.

i did make an officiasl complaint to atos and they sent me a letter of apology.

Hello

I receive both ESA and DLA. I have been abroad since receiving these benefits for up to two weeks at a time. Only on a cruise though, as this type of holiday allows me to cope with my disability.

I have written to ESA to inform them of the dates of my holiday by recorded delivery but have not received a reply.

Hope this information is of help.

Hi S,

I would read this link first : Claiming Benefits Abroad

Unless you can show that you are going abroad to receive treatment for your medical conditions, ESA claimants can only go abroad for 28 days without their ESA Claim being closed.
