At my recent PIP medical the assessor identified herself as a mental health nurse. On checking the Nursing and Midwifery Council registration I found she is only registered as an Adult Nurse. Can I use this in my appeal as she lied to me?
It could be that the register needs updating. I would say that trying to use this in this way would be counterproductive. I would stick to picking the medical apart and showing all the inconsistencies and producing all the evidence. If it became relevant during that process then maybe you could mention checking the register but if the assessment wasn't recorded she could deny it and it then becomes your word against hers..
