Hi,
Thanks to you guys my application for ESA was accepted on 19 of November less any medical and I have been placed in the Support Group until 10 of May 2017.
Now my question is :

Should I call PIP department to change my Standard Daily Leaving Allowance to the Enhanced ones and eventually to claim and a mobility component? Which is your advice?

Also, I have to let you know in May this year I was awarded Standard Daily Living component without any medical until May 2018 but not any mobility component which was very strange,

Hi F,

Congratulations on your ESA SG Award without the need of a face to face, and thanks for the positive feedback !! :cheer:

There is no guarantee that now that you have an ESA SG Award, that this will give you an entitlement to an increase in your PIP Daily Living, or Mobility Award !

An ESA SG Award may help with a review of your current PIP award, but it would be totally dependent on "why" (what ESA SG Descriptors were applied) you were placed into The SG.

You may be able to gain more insight into this by requesting your ESA Documentation first, as suggested in my post : Here.

If you do report a Change of Circumstances (C of C) in writing to DWP PIP, you would probably have to provide fresh evidence that you now qualify for Enhanced Daily Living and a PIP Mobility Award, and may well have to go through the whole PIP Assessment process again !

You should also be aware that as a result of reporting a C of C to PIP, your current Daily Living Award could be taken away, as your whole PIP award will be looked at afresh.

The only advice that I can give is that an ESA SG award given as result of qualifying under The "Mobilising" Activity/Descriptor "may" indicate that you "might" qualify for at least a Standard Mobility PIP Award.

There are however no definites, and you would have to provide evidence to support your PIP review !!

We cannot advise you what to do, as that is only a decision that you can make !

You could seek advice on this from The CAB or the like to see what they think.
