This is a standard letter.

Yes, it would appear that they have carried out a paper assessment.

A Paper assessments simply means that the assessor was able to make a recommendation based on what they had before them and did not need to see them, I wouldn't draw any conclusions on the likelihood of an award because of this.

Not having an assessment may be of advantage if you need to challenge the Decision, but your primary goal would still be to show that you met the criteria.

Thanks Gordon, I don't know about anyone else but it's been so stressful! More so because I'm scared of losing my mobility car as I can't walk far I rely on the car to get me to the doctors and hospital appointments. Personally anyone with a car and who either lose or have their status down graded should be given longer than 3 weeks to give the car back and find a suitable replacement that's what I've been stressed out over more than anything. So I'm going to cross my fingers hope for the best and will let you know the next instalment to this process.... The decision.

Brief overview as I've posted previously about my pip claim...

1, Was on DLA was asked to claim PIP sent forms back in early October,
2, Received letter in Jan giving me a medical date, I rang them because it was really short notice and far from my home, didn't hear anything for a while then I found out that capita had gone ahead to do a paper review so I didn't need a medical after all.
3, then on 26/01/16 recieved a letter from DLA saying my payments would continue til 10/01/17 wrote on here as i was confused by this.
4, 12/02/16 recieved a letter from DWP PIP saying they had recieved the medical reports and they'd be in touch with a decision.
5, 10/03/16 ( today ) recieved a fat letter from DLA again informing me of my DLA continuing until 10/01/17 and proof and rates I'd recieve, reading through all the pages the only PIP reference I could see was a reference which stated ' UPRATING PIP' other than that it's all DLA !

I'm so confused by this it's gone on and on for ages every time the postman comes I panic especially if I see a brown envelope but my confusion is because as previously told on the forum once you apply for PIP you don't go back on DLA but all the info today is what you'd get regarding a award outcome., and it's been a month since they wrote to me saying they had my PIP claim to make a decision...... I don't want to ring them cause I don't want to bring attention to myself but why would they do this and has this happened to anyone else??????

Thanks

Hi S,

I will merge all your previous PIP topics with this one for continuity.

Please keep all future PIP related queries to this topic.

The letter that you speak of at 5. of your post is simply the annual DLA "uprating" entitlement letter that DLA recipients receive every year, so has nothing to do with your DLA-PIP transfer !!

You will know when you receive your PIP Decision Notice letter as it will clearly state what award you have been given and the length of the award.

As you may be aware, there is no uprating/rise to DLA this year, see : Here but you will still receive the letter.

Yes, you can not go back to DLA once the transfer of PIP has started, but you will continue to receive your current rate of DLA until 4 weeks after the date of the PIP decision, whatever that PIP decision may be.

So you are still entitled to DLA until that time :

See : This Post in our Spotlight Area at the top of The forum.

We have noticed a slowing down of the whole process since New Year, and if you look through the forum, you will see that many members are waiting to hear.

You should Bookmark/Favourite this page in your Internet Browser now.

That way you can return to this topic easily to pose any further queries that you may have by replying to the topic.

See : This Topic also !

Thanks in anticipation of your future co-operation in keeping all your PIP related queries to this topic ! :)
