It's not unusual for a claimants mood to drop at this point in the process, it seems like you have a mountain to climb and there is little, if any light at the end.
But this is not the case, success rates at appeal are over 60% and have been for some time so there is every reason to be positive about the outcome. Remember the appeal resets everything and the panel will take a far more balanced approach to the evidence that the DWP do.
They will listen to you when they ask you about your problems!

Replied by stefaniel2001 on topic Question about PIP appeal submission
So I've finally got an appeal date which is 3rd October.
Since I've put in my request for the appeal, I've also sent additional info - being a copy letter from the pain clinic which stated they were referring me for steroid injections, it also requested I be given proper psychological support (I was then put on anti-depressants and referred to the MH team) and that he agreed to my medication being increased to maximum dosage. I informed them that I have been started on anti-depressants and I'm waiting for CBT.
Along with this I also copied the tribunal into a complaint to DWP as they stopped my PIP payments for around 8 weeks in error - I should have been paid the standard care PIP but they stopped it and after a lengthy investigation they had to backdate payments. This was immensely stressful on top of everything else.
What I want to know is what if anything else can I now submit? Can I add any more thoughts about the original assessment - I am still struggling to read through it all - and is it worth getting my GP to do a support letter - assuming they will?
Any advice gratefully received

An increased award will be made by you showing that you meet the criteria for one, so whilst it must have been extremely frustrating that the DWP did not put the award that they had made into payment it is not relevant to your appeal.
My best advice is to go through your claim form, the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria for the Descriptors that you expect to score against and address any issues that have been raised.

I shall do that, so would it be worth actually typing that all up again against each descriptor and submitting it to the Tribunal in advance like a summary?
I also want to reiterate to them the errors in the report of the F2F - for example the assessor did not report that I told him I self harm.
Thanks again

The easier you make it for the panel to read and understand your situation the better so yes think about typing it up. It's a lot less important highlighting that the assessor did not report that you self-harm than showing that you do, so mention it but don't get bogged down with the report, doing so may help you to get an award but you won't get one by only dealing with the problems wit the report.
