PIP was created by kam
I have received a letter from DWP saying they have got all the information and reports about how my condition affects me for my claim for pip. The letter also says sorry that its taking longer than expected but as soon as they've made a decision they will contact me. Does that mean I won't be called for a assessment. I am registered severely sight impaired or blind. just wonder has anyone got that same experience. It would b great help if some give me some advice.
Thanks

Hi k,
Welcome to Benefits and Work
Some time ago PIP claimants received such letters when there was a backlog in the system !!
They supposedly cleared the backlog prior to the roll-out of the national transfer from DLA to PIP for all DLA recipients under the age of 65 on 08/04/13.
You are the 4th or 5th member who has received such a letter recently which does not provide any indication of whether you may have to take part in a face to face, or what PIP award you will end up with.
All that it does indicate is that the PIP Assessment Process seems to be slowing down once more, at least in your area and areas where the other members live !
