got the dreaded pip form a couple weeks back, sent ti off with evidence from my psychiatrist, but still they want a home assessment, which will take place at 9am in the morning, due to my meds olanzapine 20mg and seroxat 60mg i feel very tired and sleepy, if fall a sleep during the assessment will this go against me? also i have been advised by my CPN that i should record the medical as many assessors blatantly lie. i have told capita i will be recording
anyone ever had a recorded assessment if so pls can you advise further
You need permission to record the assessment openly, you say you have told Capita but have they agreed? You will need to be able to make two simultaneous recordings directly to tape or CD and you cannot use a digital device such as a mobile phone.
You can covertly record the assessment but if discovered the assessor may terminate the assessment and you will be marked as failing to participate.
There is a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and jas a list of the questions you are likely to be asked.
