Hi all,
How do I know whether my husband who has now moved onto state pension, was affected by being transferred from incapacity to ESA?
Why will I receive a standard rate state pension when I reach 66 when I've paid 20yrs of AVCs ? And will have paid 45 yrs NI by then also as I'm in ESA support group and a carer for my husband.

The DWP will look at whether he was entitled to Income Related ESA at the time that he was moved to ESA. ESA(IR) is dependant onyour household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

As to your query about your pension, contact HMRC for a breakdown of your contributions.
