My sister-in-law has just had PIP restored after a successful Tribunal. When PIP was initially refused, her Severe Disability Premium was withdrawn from her ESA payments, which are income-related. Will this be restored, with back pay, now she receives PIP? Will this happen automatically or should her representative contact the DWP? Thank you.
Once the PIP is back in payment they should contact the DWP office dealing with their ESA claim, they will need to complete a new IS10 form although it may be possible to do this while they are on the phone.
The SDP should be backdated to the date that the PIP award was restarted from.
