No medical- good sign?

If ATOS decide you don’t need a medical and return your file to the DWP decision maker is that promising that you will be left in the support group?

The Assessment provider returning your paperwork to the DWP without an assessment taking place, is because the Assessment provider feels that enough information and supporting evidence has been supplied with the claim form for the decision maker to make a decision. It doesn't necessarily mean you will remain in the support group but without a F2F assessment you cannot be found fit for work. but would be placed in either WRAG or Support group. If, in the unlikely event, the decision maker doesnt agree there is enough information to make a decision they can return your paperwork to the assessment provider for you to attend an assessment.

I was in the same situation as yourself, after about a 14 month wait after sending off my ESA50 form. I gathered more updated information evidence. I submitted this to Maximus.

They contacted me and said I was not to attend an ESA assessment, as they had enough paper bumf to make a decision without an F2F.

Low and behold I went from WRAG and placed into the SG. I can only conclude what a reflief that was for me.
