I have received my award for pip and scored 11 in the daily living part.
I scored 0 points for managing my treatment part and felt that this is where I would have scored highly. I am on a lot of medication and due to rheumatoid arthritis in my fingers I need someone to fill my dossette box with my tablets, I don’t have the strength to push them out of the blister packs. I’m 41 and have been on warfarin since I was 18 years old because of my medical condition causing me to have numerous dvts, pe, arterial embolisms and stroke. I am very sensitive to warfarin and need this checked weekly in the hospital and then the warfarin specialist adjusts my treatment for the week. I have had to buy my own coag machine to test my blood at home. If I need to do this in between my weekly hospital visit the pharmacist will call me and advise what medication to take. I wrote all this on my form and the pharmacist also wrote this on my form confirming. I’m confused as to how I scored 0. Should I appeal this.
I would appreciate any help

I can't advise whether you should request an MR or not, but having problems removing tablets from their packaging is one of the examples given to assessors on where a claimant would need assistance with their medication.

However, to score you would not only need to state that you would have problems doing this but it would be expected that you would have similar problems with other PIP activities, for example gripping a knife when preparing food, having problems with buttons and zips when dressing and undressing and holding a flannel when washing. Did you cover these issues on your form?

Thank you so much for your speedy response
Yes I told them about issues holding and gripping and was awarded points for preparing meals and dressing and undressing. I think I will contact them regarding this maybe they have overlooked it.
If I request an MR do I need to go through another assessment or do they just look into the issue I am addressing.
Thanks for your advice

The DWP don't do "looks", I'm afraid it's an MR or not.
