You will need to close your JSA claim in order to make an ESA claim, see the following about how to claim ESA, I am assuming that you are not in a Universal Credit Full Service area.

www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowance/how-to-claim

You will lose the Disability Premium (just over £30/week) as this is not payable with ESA, it is replaced by the Support Group component if you are placed in that group. Any other Premiums you receive should be payable with your ESA as soon as your claim is accepted.

Have a look at our ESA Claim guides for the criteria you will need to meet.

Thanks for that it is broadly inline with what I’ve read and advice received on here previously. I was awaiting a mandatory recon at the time, by have now received full pip. I just wanted to double check nothing would change now my award it settled.
A bit miffed about loosing the premium tho, hopefully I should get into the support group.
One other thing tho, I receive an extra amount as I don’t have a career (extra £60 odd per week) and a disability top up of around £15 per week as I’m in high rates of PIP.
I assume these two benefits would be affected should I not make it into the support group.

Many thanks.

The two Premiums you mention would be payable with an ESA claim, but be aware they are not separately payable, they will only be paid as part of an Income Related benefit claim, so if you are not receiving JSA(IR) or ESA(IR) then you would not receive them.

Hi thanks for that my ESA would be of the income based type. So just to clarity these shouldn’t be affected. Thanks. D
