Dear Gorden,

Thank you for your reply which made things clearer but, i live at the border line between two different LA, My job centre, exsisting ESA & PIP belong to a LA whereas my exsisting housing claim belongs to a different LA. Now, if i want to change my accomodation, which one of above LA my new address should be with in order not to trigger UC and then have to go again through all the medical assessments?

Thanks&Regards

It does not matter where your JC+ office is, it is the postcode of your current property and then one for any future one that determines whether you have moved from one LA to another and as a consequence, whether you need to claim UC or not.

Thank you Gorden for your reply, just to make sure of one point, if i move to a new postcode and start a new HB claim in a LA which belongs to my same exsisting ESA job centre LA, do i need to move to UC? i currently live and claim HB in a different boardering LA.
Thanks

I can only repeat what I have previously posted, it is not the JC+ office that determines whether a new claim for Housing Benefit is required or not, it is the LA and specifically the postcode.

So is the new property in the same LA or a different one and if the latter, is it a UC Full Service area. If it is then claiming HB will result in a claim for UC being required.
