My partner has just received a copy of his Face to face medical report. The Nurse who assessed him has said that she thinks that he is not in as much pain as he has said. She also refers to the fact that he is taking over the counter medications and not taking a medication that she seems to infer that he should be on. He does take medication that is available over the counter but it is prescribed by gp. He also takes pain relief that is not over the counter but she does not mention this when she is summarising on most of the pages. So to sum it up he is not in much pain and he can walk up to 400mtrs . Most of the ticks on the report are on the second one down. It seems it is completely opposite to what he has said. She also said that he used his right arm to take his inhaler ( he has a problem with right shoulder so does not have much movement) he is actually left handed so would not have done so. Do you think he can appeal against the report.
You can't request an MR until a Decision has been made on his claim but there is a narrow window where you can contact the Decision Maker with your concerns about the report in the hope of influencing the Decision. Write to the DWP office dealing with his claim.
