I am currently on Support Group ESA awarded until June 2020.
I previously asked a similar question to this one, namely that, if I change address does that mean that I would have to claim UC to get Housing Benefit. The response to that question was no, provided the new address is within the same Local Authority. My Housing Benefit claim with the Local Authority would just transfer over to my new address. Fine.
However, I have a slightly different question now, namely, if I change address and am still within the same Local Authority can the DWP force me to apply for UC -- for any reason -- solely on the basis that I have changed address? If the DWP can do this what possible rules/reasons could they put forward for my having to do so?
