ESA Assessment was created by Victoria
Hi guys
I have been invited to my ESA assessment on the 21st of December.
I am currently in the support group.
If, as many do, get no points and apply for a mandatory reconsideration, will my benefit stop all together? Or will I get something?
I don't want to claim job seekers as I am not seeking work because of illness and that will defeat the object. I live alone and I am a home owner with a mortgage. I also pay a monthly service change, ground rent and greenbelt fee.

Thanks for all your support guys over the year.
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2019

If and I stress the "if" you do score enough points for an award then your ESA payments will stop immediately.

Thanks Gordon for you reply.
Im sorrybi know I'm over thinking this but I like to prepare with being on my own and having no one to contribute.
Would I be entitled to claim any other benefit ? income support ? Whilst I wait for the Mandatory reconsideration decision ?
Otherwise how would I pay my bills ?
Thanks
Victoria

The only benefit available for you to claim will be Universal Credit and I would expect you to be treated as a job seeker.

Once you claim UC then that is it, you will not be able to return to ESA at Assessment rate if you have to go on to appeal.
