ESA - "It varies" question was created by UncleBuck
Can anyone please shed more light on what "it varies" means with ESA.
If you have a condition that gets worse with exertion, say with breathing, does that mean "it varies"?
thanks

It varies means that you are always affected by your condition but the degree to which you are can change.

So the example you include in your post would not fit with this as it implies that you are always left breathless when you exert yourself, a better example would be ME/CFS, if you have any knowledge of the illness, where the symptoms can change from day to day.

However, just because your symptoms change does not mean that "it varies" is the appropriate box to tick, for example; if even at your best you could not complete an activity then you should tick "no" for being unable to do the activity.
