waiting for judicial review was created by Bridget Walls
My wife, [removed], had her DLA stopped on the 17 December 2017 on the pretext that she would transfer to PIP, we went through all the claim forms and due processes and in April 2018 were told that the case was to go to court, but as of today, 16/01/2019, we still have not heard anything. I keep calling the telephone number for the court office only to be told that we will not be heard for some time. How long does it take to get things sorted? Her condition has now worsened through a back injury and she has to use a wheelchair most of the time when going out now. We need to get this moving and no one seems interested in doing so. The help that I can give her now is getting less and less as I now have cancer and the treatment I am having is very debilitating so I am not as able to give her the attention and help she requires. This is very worrying !!

I'm afraid that there are considerable delays in the appeal process across all of the country and members have been reporting wait time of at least nine months or even more than a year.

You can try asking them to prioritise your appeal due to your health problems but beyond this, there is little that you can do.

Please be aware that the Tribunal panel can only consider your wife's conditions as they were in December 2017, any deterioration since then will be excluded from their deliberations.
