Income support or universal credit was created by clivelate
Hi, my brother is a carer for my mum, he gets something like 64 pounds for this, and does not work, and has no other income.

He has saving of 12 thousand pounds, and ive been told he myabe be able to get more help, i understand the savings will effect this.

Which does he make a claim for, he hasnt claimed either of these benfits before, im not sure if income support is still being issued any longer to new claiments.
thanks

The obvious one would be Universal Credit, I suggest that he puts his information into one of the online benefit calculators to see if there are others, you cannot make a new claim for Income Support any more.
