Deafness and PIP was created by Zahid
Good afternoon

I've been through the transition of dla to pip for my daughter - a few years ago - having had to go to tribunal (but was supported by the National Deaf Childrens Society who helped tremendously)

is there a Adult equivalent to the NDCS as i'm having to help my wife make the claim for PIP soon - she's hearing impaired.

also regards to the claim form - i understand each of us have our own personal journeys in relation the descriptors - but any pointers from the deaf community in completing them would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Try the British Deaf Association website.

bda.org.uk/

There are two specific PIP activities that are relevant; Communication and Mixing with Others, in addition to these have a look at the section on Safety in our PIP Claim guide.
