PIP appeal - how much do I have to do immediately?

I'm looking at filling in the PIP appeal documents for my caree. What I haven't been able to work out is whether I have to submit all the factors we want to appeal against immediately, within the calendar month, or whether I can submit further arguments later, between now and the tribunal date? My caree is going through a bit of a bad patch at the moment, and I don't know how much she can cope with at the moment.

Can anyone help, please?

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once their appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send your caree a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit their own, you should start to prepare their case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that they score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

Thank you, Gordon. As I work in a legal-ish field, I did think it would have been unreasonable to expect full arguments in such a short timeframe, but it's good to have confirmation.
