Hi

How long should you expect to wait for a ESA decision after a medical assessment?
How delayed are the DWP in contacting claimants with there decision?

Thank you

An ESA Decision should be 4-6 weeks.

Hi
Its been 13 weeks since my medical assessment. I did send a lot of supporting evidence including some medical records.
Could that be why I have had no decision as yet?

Thanks

Have you contacted the DWP office for an update?

Hi Gordon

I received a letter back in march and I think I have stayed on ESA
I have re read the letter and it says at the top
' We have looked at your claim again following a recent change"
There was no explanation or mention of my assessment or written evidence
Because there has been no change I just thought it was a basic letter.
My assessment was on 14.02.19 and this letter is dated 11.03.19
I've been so anxious about this whole process I have not taken in what's in front of me.
This is what the DWP affect and make worse their claiments
So sorry for taking up your valuable time.
I will update you if anything changes
Apologizes again and Thank you

Hi Victoria

You are not the only person to be caught out by that particular letter and nor will you be the last. Unfortunately, It's a standard letter that never makes it clear that you are staying on your ESA even though that's what it means.
