Hi All. Hope its ok to ask this question for a good friend of mine (he is not on the internet as yet) His son went through the DLA to PIP back in January of this year. Now he did get Maximum mobility and care (he has very bad autism). But he cannot get a blue badge because they said he can walk without problems.
My friend did ask for reconsideration and went to an appeal but was still told no to a blue badge. Now he has been told that this ruling with the blue badge and ausism sufferers is being changed but the local council said they have no idea when the law change will come out.
Are there any ideas on this fantastic site on this matter?
The changes are pending but I have no idea when they will be enacted. Some Local Authorities appear to be awarding based on the new criteria but it appears your friend's LA is not one of them.
