PIP reading and understanding question. was created by duckduckdo
Could any members advise if they were successful in getting points for this category if suffering from M.E or Fibromyalgia? The reason I ask is I am due my review in October and on my last one, because I answered ‘Yes, but do not understand what I have read’ I was scored 0 points as she said she can read and has no learning difficulties. Anyone with either of these conditions will know that cognitive problems definitely affect reading in a negative way. Thank you.

You would need to show that your ME, etc. cause a recognised cognitive dysfunction and that you are affected on the majority days by this and during this time always unable to read and understand written information.

The PIP Claim has the definitions for basic and complex written information, the test is a strict one.
