Going to tribunal - help and support

Hi! I am new here this morning after receiving my Mandatory Reconsideration Notice. At the assessment I was awarded 1 point for Managing Toilet Needs. My M.R.N I was awarded 8 points in the Daily Living Section. And 4 points in the Mobility Section.
My basic case is, I was 2lbs when born 3.5 month premature. I was immediately given away, by my birth mother. I stayed in an incubator until 6 months old, I was then transferred to a Christian children's home. At 18months my parents adopted me, as my mother was a Army nurse, and Midwife, they could not say at that time of any health problems that might happen. I was already diagnosed with asthma, eczema and bronchitis.
I am applying for PIP as my asthma is worse, as to is my eczema, I suffer from depression, and more recently have been regularly soiling myself, as I haven't been able to get to the toilet in time. I do drive, which I don't know what I would do without a car, I now have to take spare clothes, and washing provisions in case of a accident.
I first applied for PIP in November last year. The M.R has taken 14.5 weeks to be returned. I have been having regular suicidal thoughts feeling useless and humiliated by my conditions and ability to do things.
I would really like some help with the tribunal. Many thanks! ( :

Hi Tia

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case. An increased award will only be made by you showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

Be aware that the emphasis is not so much on your conditions, but how they impact on your ability to manage your daily living against the criteria on the PIP form.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
