Hi

I had my lifetime award dla to pip assessment January 2018 & awarded high points in both categories for max time.

I however paid for this by hospital admission for almost 4 weeks.
They also forgot to tell me a lipspeaker couldn’t be arranged & sent me to a centre wheelchair step and no entry button .

Today my ESA work Capability Assessment dropped through door ( currently support group).

I had to appeal like a criminal in front of judge and doctors like a criminal.

The judge thought shouting helped deaf people.

Do Atos really need another assessment 19 months on.

Im loosening will to live except they win. Sick of picking myself up.

Also Atos on pip asked about having a phone / social media / friend @ family visits etc really.

Hi Honeybee11

Unfortunately, as you found out the PIP process is not always sensitive to the needs of the claimants.

Regarding your ESA claim coming so quickly after your PIP assessment, it happens to many people who claim both benefits. Some people have found they only have only a few weeks between the two.

The different benefits are administered by two different departments in the DWP and the assessments are carried out by different organisations. Independent Assessment Services (formerly ATOS) and Capita assess PIP claims and Maximus assess ESA claims.
