DWP letter about PIP Review was created by CG31
Hi

My friend has received a letter from the DWP remind him that his PIP will end on 2 October. You'll need to make new claim if you still need help....if you want to claim again...if you still need help with your daily living or mobility needs... to call to 0800 917222. They did not include the review form

The advice agency want him to have the form when he comes for the appointment but their earliest availability is going to be August. He is concerned that if he calls the DWP now then he will have to return it within a month of the form arriving and may struggle to complete the form within that month so is holding off making the phone call to DWP about this.

Should he call now and then request an extension if the work with the advice agency has not been completed? Thank you

Thank you

Hi CG31

Is there a date by which he has to claim? There usually is. When he does call, and the form arrives claimants have four weeks to complete (including the time it took for the form to arrive) and your friend could request a two-week extension.

the letter only says that PIP will end on 2nd Oct and if he wants to “claim PIP again” to call them. The difficulty is getting an appointment with the Advice agency and matching that to match he four weeks or extension.
