When the new contracts for combined medical assessments begin in 2024, is it likely that the current scheduled timings of individual claimants reviews could alter ? For example I recently had my PIP review and was given a ten year award (before it is scheduled to be reviewed again). This was done on paperwork by DWP without need for a medical assessment. That assessment would have been carried out by ATOS in my area if I had needed one. I was also due for ESA review this month but, as has been the case for some years now it was deferred for 2 years again to June 2025. I live in North of England where maximus have the current WCA contract and have just been awarded the contract for new joint medical. I am curious as to whether the DWP and/or Maximus would follow the review dates currently in place or could there arise a scenario where they decide to start from scratch in 2024 and begin calling everyone in for new fresh joint PIP/WCA assessments right across the board? Or is it more likely if someone has a scheduled review for either then they will follow the date of the first review to come up.( in my case ESA WCA in 2 years time) and assess for both PIP and ESA at that time.
