Hi was just wondering if anybody else has had their PIP assessment at a physiotherapist I'm being moved from DLA to PIP and I've just received my letter and my appointment is next Friday at a local physiotherapist? Is this the norm

HI and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

The assessment providers simply hire rooms where they can, the fact that your appointment is at a physio clinic does not have any other relevance.

In fact, my own PIP assessment, earlier this year, was also held at a local physio clinic and was carried out by a nurse.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept to one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Its hard not to worry, so scared I will lose my mobility car as its my lifeline, I am every night familiarising myself with the questions they are going to ask as I find it hard to concentrate, question - is my wife allowed to take notes at the assessment?

I too had my assessment at a Physiotherapist although the assessor put down her occupation as Nurse. Unlike the previous poster I can't say it was a pleasant experience but go well prepared and make sure your voice is heard. Good luck.

Yes, your wife is allowed to take notes - although we recently heard from a member who had problems with this on the day.
