ESA/PIP was created by David McCowen
Hello to everyone, I am new to the site and to the benefit system. I am 62 and worked right up to 2014. I have been on ESA since 2015 and PIP since 2016. Can someone tell me why some go for a medical yearly like me and some go every 2/3 or more years? I was bed ridden for my last medical and my doctor wrote them a letter telling them that he has advised them that I should not attend in my condition which they accepted and said that I would receive a home visit, this was back in June and I have still not had the visit. I did live in the USA from 2009 to 2014. Is it because I’m new to the benefit system?

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Reassessment periods are recommended by the assessor. I'm afraid I can't offer a reason why yours are different from anybody else's but it's not because you are a new claimant or spent time outside of the country, the recommendation should be based on the likelihood of your conditions and how they effect you changing.
