mumsgirl wrote: Thanks Steve, for being kind enough to reply and to try to offer me some hope. I still don't know where I stand. I have written to them twice but they have just ignored me and I can't phone them due to my problems. But I have been looking on other websites and found a couple of other people that had the same letter as us and they too phoned up and asked and they too were told they remain in the support group without medical, so I am hoping it the case for me (although other people were saying they were lying because it's too early to get a reply like that!). I have made a SAR (and received a reply saying they will get back to me within 40 days) in the hope that it will confirm I am still in support group with medical and it should give me a prognosis. I'll let you know how I get on when I receive the SAR but i'm hoping to be in the same boat as you. But I won't count my chickens just yet!

Hi mg,

I am sorry to hear that you have still not received any confirmation.

Hopefully, you will soon.

Fingers crossed it's SG once more !!! :)

Please let us know.

Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that I have now received written confirmation that I am remaining in the SG! After I received that hard-to-interpret letter on 28/8/13 (dated 24/6/13) I wrote to them twice to clarify. Today I got a reply – “I can confirm that you will continue to receive ESA with the SG after reassessment June 13. Prognosis is 2 years form 12 June 2013. The letter received by yourself takes the benefit date back to 12 April 2013 as this is the date of uprating every year for ESA customers.” Although they took a while to inform me of the decision (properly) I have to say that I think my assessment and decision making was super quick! I posted it on 3/6/13, they received it on 4/6/13 and it looks like they made the decision on 12th June? And without a ‘medical!! First time that’s ever happened to me! Comparing this assessment to my last I have to give immense Kudos to B&W, especially Bro58, Gordon and the guides because I think it was all down to them alone (and maybe a wee bit from me!) that I passed again so quickly without a medical! With my last assessment 2 years ago I had a mental health support worker with me at the medical, I had letters of support from her, my Gp and psychistrist. The medical was stopped after 10 minutes and I received written confirmation a week later that I was in SG. But this time I had none of that, only B&W for company and I didn’t even need a medical! Thank you all so much. I only wish it made me feel better, but i’m still on this merry (wrong choice of word!)-go-round!

Hi mg,

That is fantastic news !!!!! :)

Thank you for the very kind comments.

Although the Mods have tried to help as much as they can, and you have used our excellent guides, I think you should give yourself a huge "pat on the back", as it is you who have actual applied the advice and been successful, without any other form of support.

Well done !!! :)

Have you heard regarding your DLA renewal yet ?

O.K. mg :)

Keep us updated, hopefully a double celebration !!!,

If you can get hold of your ESA85A medical report in time, from this ESA WCA, there may be supportive evidence included, that could be sent with your DLA renewal.

Keep us updated.

Just wanted to let you know that I received my SAR (which consists of a one page ESA85a, my ESA50 and lots of printouts, no other reports. On the ESA85a I think I got through on Excep. Cir because it says “I advise that the client meets the SG criteria as they are suffering from specific disease or bodily or mental disablement and, by reasons of such disease or disablement, there would be a substantial risk to the mental or physical health of any person if they were found not to have LCWRA.”?
But for prognosis it just says “I advise the work is unlikely in the longer term.” It doesn’t mention the 2 years that I received in a separate letter.

It also says they used the ESA50 and med 3 as evidence (would that be the original med 3 I sent 3 years ago because I haven’t sent any since?).

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry the Justification of Advice – “ ESA50 is completed by the claimant who also provides 62 pages of extra information with further supplements. This information given by the claimant is rambling and repetitive describing in details why each and every aspect of the ESA should apply, including LCWRA categories. This indeed is within keeping of the Personality disorder that is confirmed by the Psychiatrist letter kindly supplied by the claimant”.

On the printouts I have one concern (so far) – it still says “date of next full case check 30/07/13”. This is exactly the same as the last SAR (around 20 months ago). What exactly does ‘date of next full case check mean’? I thought it may have may that I was to be reassessed by that date, but it can’t be because I’ve just been assessed and the date is still the same.

It also says ‘System set case control type – Automatic WCA referral. Original maturity date 10/4/15 activity start date 09/04/15’ – what does that mean? I would have thought it would be when they send out the next ESA50, but looking at my last SAR I was place in SG for 2 years from Sep 13 and it says date of next maturity is 8/7/13, date of next WCA 8/7/13 and i was sent a form at beginning of May (4 months before prognosis is ‘up’ date but 2 months before 8/7/13). So maybe they will send me out a form in Feb 2015 (4 months before prognosis date is ‘up’). it also says date of next WCA 12/6/15
