There are a couple of arguments that you can make, first that the contact is not social and is therefore not covered by the Descriptor and secondly that your ability to go out is restricted for the majority of the time, both are explained in more detail in the ESA Claims on the Grounds of Mental Health guide in the ESA section.

A better picture of my health , how my paranoid severe mental disorder is affecting me , from GP which she put into a letter after request for MR had already been sent after ESA refused by DM who superseded a previous award for 3 yrs and put in in SG .
Considering reconsiderations are said to be rubber stamped these days instead of being looked at again I'm expecting my MR to be refused
Should I send this letter in now or hold it back to see if I have to appeal ?

Hi Roidiniki,

I have merged your query with your previous ESA topic. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place -and I hope you will find it useful too. You will find it easily if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)

You have nothing to gain by holding on the to GP letter. Whilst MRs rarely change the original decision, it does happen sometimes and you will want to do everything you can to turn this in your favour.

You should make sure you keep a copy of the letter. Put your name and NINo at the top. Explain that you wish it to be considered with your MR.Address the envelope 'FAO Decision Maker' at the same address you which you sent the MR request. Finally, get proof of posting at the very least - signed for delivery is better if you can afford it.

Bad letter day today from MR dept. , original decision remains unchanged despite GP's supportive letter outlining the negative effect it would have on a paranoid schizophrenia sufferer being told he has to be available to seek work.
.
Will not sign up to claim JSA due to not being able to fulfil their requirements , so still no income .

If you now have a Mandatory Reconsideration Notice then you can request an appeal, once this is accepted by the TS you can request the DWP put you on to the ESA Assessment rate while you wait for an appeal, you will need Fit Notes from the day after you found Fit for Work to allow payment to be made.

The ESA Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form you will need to complete and instructions on how to complete it.
